Established in 1999, the David C. Martin award recognizes academic excellence in the field of geriatric medicine by medical students. This philanthropic effort, solely supported by Society funds, provides each award recipient an honorarium (up to $1,500.00) to defray the costs of attending the annual meeting of the American Geriatrics Society.
This award is presented to outstanding individuals for their dedication and commitment to geriatrics education. All three exemplify geriatrics teaching excellence and have made significant contributions to the education and training of learners in geriatrics and to the progress of geriatrics education across the health professions.
